How do I get insurance?

  • ACT (nonfood): https://app.actinsurance.com/events/14097
  • FLIP (food): https://app.fliprogram.com/events/14096

Do I need a California Sellers Permit to be a vendor?

If you sell taxable physical goods (tangible personal property) at the market, you will need a California seller’s permit, even if you only sell at the market occasionally or temporarily. Seller’s permits are issued by the CDTFA and are free to obtain in most cases.

For more information, visit the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration’s seller’s permit information page.

Will the market be cancelled due to rain or dangerous weather?

If poor weather is anticipated, we reserve the right to cancel and will communicate the cancellation by noon the day of the market. In the event that we cancel the market due to weather, we will issue refunds for the vendor fee.

Is there a fee if I’m representing a nonprofit organization?

There is no booth fee for approved nonprofit organizations, although space is limited and all nonprofit booths must be approved in advance.

Nonprofit organizations may use their booth to share information and collect donations, but may not sell goods or merchandise at the market unless they pay the standard vendor booth fee and meet permitting and insurance requirements.

Please note that businesses or individuals who donate some or all of their proceeds to a nonprofit are not considered nonprofit organizations for purposes of booth fees. Standard vendor fees apply.

Can I share a booth with another vendor?

No. Each vendor must have their own booth space and pay the applicable vendor fee. This allows us to accurately plan the market layout and ensure there is enough space for each vendor.

Who hosts the Tierrasanta Evening Market?

The Tierrasanta Evening Market is hosted by the Canyon Hills Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the future quality of life in our community through enhancing academic and athletic programs at Canyon Hills High School.

What is the Tierrasanta Evening Market like?

The Tierrasanta Evening Market brings Tierrasanta, Murphy Canyon, Serra Mesa – and beyond – together. We’re creating a welcoming place where younger families, high school students, alumni, longtime residents, and neighbors of all ages can gather, have fun, discover and support local businesses.

The market creates a lively community gathering space where local entrepreneurs, makers, food vendors, and other small businesses can connect with local residents and become part of the fabric of our neighborhood.

It also gives Canyon Hills students opportunities to showcase their clubs and activities, raise money, and share Canyon Hills school spirit with the broader community. By bringing all of these groups together, the market creates a connected, vibrant community while generating financial support for Canyon Hills High School through the Canyon Hills Foundation, a 501(c)(3).
